You scheduled your very first reading with a Psychic Medium. You have driven past her business for years and on this occasion, you decided to take the plunge and book a reading, as your life is not quite the way you want it to be. You are hoping she can give you some insight into your life and around what is coming up for you.
You arrive, excited and are welcomed by a lady who seems normal to you. You smell incense burning as she leads you down a hallway to her reading room. You sit down in anticipation, albeit slightly nervous. She asks you – “Do you want to know everything?”. At this point you are not sure if you should say yes, or no, but wonder what you would miss out on if you did say no, so you say yes, and the reading begins.
She begins to talk to you about your past. About how certain things in your past are affecting you now in the present. You acknowledge this and begin to build trust in her with her accuracy of your life. She then begins to tell you about what is coming up for you. You are excited about what she must share and really feel like you are connecting to this woman sitting in front of you.
Just as the reading draws to a close, she gets this look in her eye that makes you nervous. She goes quiet and asks you again – “Are you sure you want to know everything?”. At this point you have so much trust in this woman that you say “absolutely!”. She looks you in the eye and says…
“My dear, you are in grave danger. There is a woman trying to destroy you. She really doesn’t like you. I see her trying to infiltrate your life, relationship and career and if you are not careful, she will cost you everything.”
Your emotions are running wild at this point. You wonder who this person is and how they are managing to do this to you. You think back on your life and remember the reason you sought a psychic out in the first place. In a panic you say “What can I do about it?”
She immediately reassures you that you can’t do anything about it but she can. She tells you how she deals with people like that and how she takes offence to people who like to bring suffering onto others. She promises to remove any bad omen placed upon you and to rid of this woman for good. You begin to feel so much better at this point and ask for her help. She tells you that she will remove the curse as soon as you pay her an additional fee of $400. The work she needs to do requires a lot of her time and $400 is relatively cheap in comparison.
You don’t have $400. You tell her you will have to try and gather the money and get back to her. You leave franticly wondering what to do. The Psychic leaves you alone for a few days and then calls you back, reminding you of the omen placed upon you and how this curse is growing as each day passes. She sees you losing your job and your marriage.

At this point you will either pay the money and have the curse removed or you will try and seek out someone else to help you. Bottom line is – don’t fall for this type of scam. Fear is such a powerful motivator. What psychics like this do, is work on your weaknesses and drive fear into you. They push you into the fight, flight, freeze response where you cannot think properly and try and get you to react quickly. You become desperate as your mind begins to play all the different scenarios of your life as your mind begins to link random coincidences as fact.
Remember this – you have free-will. No one can put a curse on you unless you give them permission to do so. They can certainly try but a simple – Back Off Sunshine, will stop that in its tracks. If you allow the fear to penetrate you, you are choosing to be in fear and in allowance of what that fear will manifest. Again, you are the one doing the choosing, not the other person. You are the one letting your guard down and relaxing your boundaries. You are the one giving up control and allowing her to manipulate you. The saying – You are free to do whatever you want to do, but you are not free of the consequence of that choice, is very true, even with perceived curses. If you choose to believe that it can happen to you, you will manifest it into fruition. It will have nothing to do with the person placing the so-called curse on to you but you choosing to give up your power.
I had a client who came to me saying that the reason her husband passed away was because a woman put a curse on him, and she cut his life short because he didn’t want to leave his wife. The psychic told the client that the curse had shifted to her and needs to have it removed before her life becomes even more devastating. She was desperate when she came to see me.
God is the only being that chooses when we die. No one has the power to shorten someone else’s life through a curse. If you believe this to be true, then you give the person placing the curse more power than God.
Yes, people can manipulate energy. We do it all the time. We are all known as energy vampires and take each other’s energy when we are tired, argue, heal etc. So it is important to practice spiritual hygiene, like imagining a white light washing everyone’s energy of the day away and cleansing your energy back to pure light or imagine placing a glass cube around your body where no one can take or penetrate your energy.
However, even though spiritual hygiene is important, the most important thing is to remember that you are always in control.
