Greetings loved ones,

Today we talk about worth.  The concept of worth is an interesting one on your planet.  It is often related to the value of money or possessions.  We watch as you compare yourself to those that perceive to have more than you do and how you allow this to diminish you. We have seen people only feel worthy once they contribute financially to their home, buy an expensive car, obtain a PhD, receive a 1000 views or obtain an award.  We have noticed how others brag about their generous donations of money to significant causes. This somehow, makes them feel worthy and valued. Yet, we know there is so much more to worth than this type of energy exchange.

Do you understand your worth? If we had to take away all the money in the world and all the false structures and titles that you give yourselves, what would your worth be then? If you had to remove all the layers that you believe to be important to survive this journey, what would you be left with, and how would you find worth then?

If you had to really consider these questions, what would you truthfully say? Would you say, yes, I understand my worth but do not always know how to apply it? Perhaps you would say, no I do not as I am still searching for meaning.  Some of you will try to justify the way you live as worthy to you. Some may truly understand their value and shout, absolutely!  There is no judgement here, simply reflection.  Each on your own journey through life and growth. Our role is to simply encourage you to think broader than the blinkers life expects you to wear.

We say this – your worth is unique.  It is not the same as those you compare yourself to.  It is exclusively yours.  It is not only the material possessions you love to collect, the qualification you work so hard to achieve or the money in your bank account. You worth stretches far beyond that.

We often hear you wonder what it would be like to be another human being.  ‘Oh, if I could just live his life for one day.” You admire people for their possessions, courage, stardom, peace, relationships, freedom and knowledge and long to have or be the same.  Perhaps you wish to do what the other person is doing with their life or for some, you admire the beauty of others and wish you could have that too. Constantly comparing yourselves to each other and in turn placing shame upon yourself.

The truth is, you will never be like them or have what they have, and they will never be like you or have what you have.  What we find, is that every single person on this planet at some point, wishes they could be like someone else or do something like someone else.  Yes, even those that you recognize as having a perfect life, body, or career.

Your worth has been molded like a piece of clay beautifully created by its master.  Every single aspect of you, what you bring to the table and how you bring it to fruition has been tailored on your life experiences, you view of the world, values, pain, and growth.

Just as you admire another for who they are and what they do, so to do they admire you for what you give to the world.

Know your worth.  It is more than just money, power, and possessions. You are worth different things to different people.  To a spouse – love, friendship and companionship is worth more than anything else in the world.  Giving time to your children and raising them unconditionally has more worth than buying them the latest iPhone.

It is also in how you contribute towards the world without ego or the need for power.  To understand your strengths and weakness and to share these with love.  Perhaps the way you motivate others, or your ability to lead, teach or see things differently because of your life experience, creates worth.  Mother Teresa is a great example of this.

How many of you continue to pursue the next thing just to try and improve on a skill so that you can be better than someone else or more qualified?  How many of you are threatened by the success of another human being who does the same job as you do, quietly chasing them to overpower or compete?  This is diminishing your worth.  When you focus on you, your value becomes far greater than when you try to overpower the perceived success of another.

Let us say that you are a Physician.  At work you meet up with another Physician who has studied the exact same trade as you.  You have the same number of years’ experience and the same number of patients.  Even though you studied the same thing and do the same work, you are very different. Your uniqueness is what brings your worth to others. It doesn’t matter how hard you try; you will never be able to do the same job the same way.  This is the beauty in the differences.  This is your worth.

It is time to step up and claim your value, as the unique human being that you are, instead of dragging yourself down into the abyss of comparison.

The world does not need more of the same.  It is in the diversity of who you all are, that makes the world such a beautiful place to live in and admire.

We have noticed how some of you shrink back, instead of embracing your strength and claiming your worth.  You are often silenced by those who are threatened by you.  Often bullied into submission to the point where you question your own value.  You be you.  Do not allow another to turn your worth off based on their own fears.  Those that want to push you down, are unable to face their own healing and discover their true value.  They are so blinded by comparison and shame that they are unable to see the uniqueness of who they are.  This saddens us, as everyone is amazing in their own right.

We ask you today, to take a moment to reflect on your uniqueness.  To love who you are and to express this in your way instead of trying to be like someone else.  To understand your worth, wholistically – mind, body & soul.

To take a moment to strip away the worldly layers and really think about who you really are and what you bring to the table. This makes you the beautiful unique person the world is privileged to meet.

You are worth celebrating and you are worth every ounce of who you truly are.

In love,

The Council of 17
