This is a question I am often asked.  Are our loved ones still around us? And if they are how do we know?  All the readings that I have done over the 20 years of my career I have often had clients tell me that they know their loved ones are still around and have given me some common responses.  Of course, this can happen just as they have passed away as well.  My grandmother who passed away in the United Kingdom, walked into my living room in South Africa, the moment she passed away.  I could physically see her.  I was caught off guard as the very moment I saw her, she disappeared.  Shortly afterwards, my father called to give me the news. I know that my father is around me as I can feel heat at the back of my neck whenever I ask for a sign of his presence, or he will step into my channelings and give a message for my students.   These are less common, but here are a few ways that spirit likes to let us know they are still watching over us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. You can physically feel or see them<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

   Often clients will tell me that they still feel their loved on next to them in bed or sitting next to them in a chair in the living room.  For me, the room changes energy and I feel a heaviness in the area they are standing. Some clients mention that they can physically see them in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

   • They appear in your dreams<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

     When our minds are very active, spirit likes to appear in our dreams.  They will provide messages of love and comfort and tell us everything is going to be okay.  A few clients have mentioned that they often dream of them leaving them, divorcing them, or saying hurtful things.  This is not a visitation, but rather your minds way of working through the pain of loss.  A visitation will never be a nightmare, it is always filled with love and support. They will also appear very vividly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     • Smells<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

       A specific scent they used to wear suddenly drifts into the room.  This could be the smell of their favorite cologne or perfume, a cigar or favorite flower.  Our loved ones use our sense of smell to bring back favorite memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

       • Pennies \/ Coins<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

         Coins or pennies suddenly appear out of the blue.  This is particularly true when your household hardly has pennies or coins.  My clients usually find coins when they want confirmation to a question about their life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

         • Music<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

           A favorite song that you used to share comes on the radio the moment you think about your loved one. Or someone next to you walks by listening to music and plays a song that reminds you of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

           • Butterflies \/ Dragonflies<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

             I never get butterflies as a symbol from my loved ones, but my husband does all the time.  Butterflies will follow you around for a few days or come and land on you as you are thinking of your loved one in spirit.  Dragonflies will come and sit on your hand and won\u2019t leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

             • Cardinals \/ Blue Jays<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

               If you are not used to seeing these birds and one suddenly appears, that\u2019s your loved one sending you a note of love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

               • Phone Calls<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                 The phone rings and your loved one\u2019s phone number appears as a missed call.  A text message appears on the screen from your loved one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                 • Physical Phenomena<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                   Lights, T. V\u2019s, radios start to turn on or off for no reason.  Music starts to play without turning on the radio.  The microwave turns on, or the toilet flushes on its own.  Photographs move or tip over. The clock on the wall stops ticking at the hour of their death. All these things are your loved ones giving you a strong sign that they are teasing you and coming out to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                   • Feathers<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                     Feathers appear where there is no reason for them to appear.  I have noticed on more than one occasion, a feather gently floating from the ceiling and landing in my lap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
